Dental implants

Indications for implant placement:
 
- Lack of a tooth
The implant is installed in a space where the tooth is missing. This way, we avoid grinding of adjacent teeth for a bridge.
 
- Insufficient number of supports for the prosthetic appliances
Placement implanting allows the patient making the bridge and eliminates making of mobile denture (prosthesis).
 
- Lack of prosthesis stability
Implant significantly improves the stability of the prosthesis.
 
Implant procedure is painless because it is done under local anesthesia.
By the first visit, implant is incorporated into the bone . Ideally, extension for the gum healing can be already set on the implant.
In other cases, it covers with the mucous membrane and after a healing period of several months (depending on several factors), we open the implant and set to extension for the healing which remains 2-4 weeks. Then, we make an impression and a definitive restoration.
During the healing period tooth can be temporarily replaced by one of several ways.

Factor for successful implants integration is the quantity of bone in which the implant is installed.
If a patient is without teeth for many years, wears removable dentures or has defects after teeth extraction, the required amount of bone for implant placement is questionable.
Then, several months prior it is necessary to do the operation of bone upgrade.
 
The implants have been used for more than 30 years and have an increasing success rate, the statistics are around 95%, depending on the general health of the patient, the quantity and quality of bone, lining state and oral hygiene.
