Did you know that your teeth can re-grow even in the third age? Or that you no longer have to grind two adjacent teeth to replace one missing? Or that your dentures has no longer to "walk" around your mouth every time you open them? All this is enabled by modern implantology. A dental implant is a bone implant made of special, high-quality materials, particularly titanium and machined surface, which can compensate the lost tooth or more of them. In free terms, we can say that it is a "copy" of the roots of teeth that will be used for prosthetic rehabilitation. In the classical sense the procedure of implant treatment can be divided into 3 phases, although modern implants, luckely for patients and physicians, are increasingly going for immediate solutions and seting a fixed or mobile prosthetic NOW for only placed implants, without resting stages of 2-3 and 4-6 months. The concept is called "TOOTH IN A DAY" and "ALL ON 4". Three phases of the classical approach are: 1 Implantation phase - the primary part of the surgical implant is embedded into the bone. The procedure is painless, because it is done under local anesthesia and it does`t requires a lot of time and often it takes less than a restoration (seal). 2. Phase of implant halt - after installing, primary part of implant is left to rest in bones (in the upper jaw 4-6 months, 2-3 months and in the lower) in order to come to a complete integration of the implant with the jawbone. During this time, the implants are "invisible" in the oral cavity, because they are in the bone and covered with mucous membrane. For aesthetic reasons, it is possible to make a temporary bridge or denture, so the quality of life would not be disturbed. 3. Phase of "Opening" implants - following the expiration of the time in which the implants are dormant, implants are opened and upgrades sets up (that serve as carriers for the production of prosthetics). Display of advantages of Implant-prosthetic treatment: • you have lost a tooth or you just have to pull out. You do not want to grind adjacent to create a bridge .. You are worried about how you will laugh when you take it out.You don`t have to sacrifice adjacent teeth any longer. You'll get a new implant and preserve your natural. And all that can be done in one day! Sometimes, you are missing more then one teeth. In this case, the spaces where the teeth are missing we supply with implants and on them make a ceramic bridge. We don`t abrade the existing natural teeth. If there was a loss of all teeth ten years ago, you we're doomed to dentures. It dances around your mouth, you have to watch out what you eat, you're unsure when communicating? You are aware disadvantages of dentures and we are sure that you want to change! The concept of "All on 4" we will be able to make change in a few days."All on 4" - the latest technology which enables us, by certain rules of paragraph, to put 4 implants in the edentulous upper or lower jaw. In the same or next day, we supply jaw acrylic bridge. Acrylic bridge could be replaced later. It`s wrong to think that nothing can happen to the implants. As for the lifetime of an implant, it is important to note that dental implants are teamwork, which involves an oral surgeon, prosthodontist, a dental technician and of course, the patient. In other words, all the links in the chain must perform flawlessly if we want long-lasting implant. A very important factor for the longevity of implants is oral hygiene, and regular checks (1-2 times per year). If careful hygiene is absent, that leads to the formation of plaque, which eventually turns into tartar and that leads to withdrawal of the gums and bone. In this way, the bone implants lose their support and in extreme cases that can lead to the relegation of the implant (similar to Periodontitis). If the patient is a smoker, success of the procedure and further maintenance of the implant is reduced. The most common question asked by patients is whether his body will accept the implant. Back twenty years and more, acceptance of the implant success rate was as high as it is today (98%) and people on the basis of these "old" information have a negative attitude towards this kind of therapy. However, because of science development we have knowledge about the factors that influence the success of implant acceptance, so that the risk is minimized. The success of this therapy depends on many factors, starting from a good planning of implant placement, which includes an analysis of X-ray images based on which it assesses whether the implant can be implanted, then review the patient, professionally performed the surgery and the type of implant that instills a therapist.
