CroMedicor reveals a staggering difference in prices

CroMedicor Cosmetic Surgery Infographic Cosmetic surgery is undoubtedly one of the most important branches of medical tourism. Naturally, the main reason why many opt for cosmetic surgery outside their home country is the high price of cosmetic treatments, or better said, the big difference in the cost of treatment in various countries. Since we do not know of a published research that in a concise and elegant way shows how much cosmetic surgery price differs among EU countries, we decided to make our own survey.

In order to get a clear picture on just how much savings a patient from the EU can achieve by going to Croatia for cosmetic surgery, we examined the prices in the UK, Spain, Germany, Italy and Slovenia. We collected prices from a dozen clinics in each country and calculated the average price for the most popular cosmetic treatments. For easy overview of this large amount of information and with the goal of raising awareness about the potential for health and medical tourism in Croatia, we have created a specially designed infographics to better display the data of our study.

From the information we received, it was clear that there are significant price fluctuations among researched countries. While Slovenia, Germany and Spain have a somewhat uniform price range of aesthetic treatments, the UK and Italy significantly offset by high costs of all services. It is interesting to note that the United Kingdom, a country that in our previous study was shown to have the highest cost of dental medicine in Europe, is the second most expensive country for cosmetic surgery. Surely, it’s no coincidence that the cost of cosmetic surgery in Italy is extremely high. As a country in which design and beauty are the hallmark of cultural identity, the price of a beautiful body in Italy is higher than anywhere else in Europe. Fortunately, many Italians are already familiar with the fact that on the other side of the Adriatic Sea there are excellent doctors who will perform the requested aesthetic treatments for a third of the cost of the same procedures in Italy. As one example, according to our research, the average cost of women's breast uplift in Italy is around € 6,200, while the prestigious Croatian clinics charge usually under € 3,000. Similarly, Nose Surgery in the UK amounts, on average, to € 4,700 and € 4,500 in Italy, while in Croatia the same procedure costs only € 1,500.

The discovery that the prices of aesthetic treatments in Croatia are much more favorable than in EU countries did not come as much of a surprise. Croatia is in a specific position in which the standard of living is lower than the EU average, while many services, including a private medical practice, are among the best among Europe. Croatian doctors are exceptionally well trained, which can especially be said for our most prominent doctors who have gained a worldwide reputation. Although Croatia joins the European Union at the end of 2013, we are confident that it will not affect the prices of medical services since the prices have to follow the growth of living standards in the country.

Dr Nikola Milojevic

Dr Nikola Milojevic In addition to his private practice in London, Dr Nikola Milojevic worked for Harley Medical Group as a leading doctor of the largest chain of aesthetic clinics in the UK, thereby gaining vast clinical experience treating up to 40 patients a day. Years of practice have contributed to the development of his individual and distinctive technique of non-surgical removal of eye bags, and his skillful Botox injection techniques made him famous as the "Botox King".

Dr Nikola Milojevic lived in London for nearly 30 years, where he attended medical school, specialized in general surgery and aesthetic medicine, and became one of the leading English cosmetic physicians. After a long and successful career in the UK, where he opened his "Milo Clinic", Dr Milojevic returns to Zagreb where his Polyclinic Milojevic will continue the tradition that started with his father, famed Dr Bosko Milojevic, who was the first cosmetic surgeon in Eastern Europe.

This move enabled the unique approach where pre-and post-operative examinations can be performed in London while the main treatment is done in Zagreb with significant savings for the patient. Such method is especially useful for Vaser Lipo ultrasonic liposuction treatment, offered exclusively by Dr Milojevic in the entire region, with which it is possible to painlessly sculpt the body and can even be used for breast enlargement. Additionally, the Milojevic Clinic through collaboration with Croatia’s top plastic surgeons offers many other cosmetic surgery procedures such as rhinoplasty, otoplasty and blepharoplasty.

The authentic royal treatment you can expect at the Milojevic Clinic is confirmed by the fact that even the English princess Kate Middleton, who now holds the title of “Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge”, has sought Dr Milojevic's advice on health and preserving the beauty of their skin.
